My name is René Goad and I’m a volcano enthusiast, adventurer, and photographer. My fascination for volcanoes goes back to when I was a kid often reading about them and watching documentaries but it wasn’t until 2005 when I climbed my first volcano during a trip to Guatemala. I’ve been travelling to volcanoes since then and that inspired me to set up my website in 2006 when I was with Webs.com but I have since moved on to WordPress. The purpose of this website is to have an educational value by sharing information and my passion for volcanoes.

Volcanoes I’ve hiked on:
Agua, Guatemala
Pacaya, Guatemala
Santa Maria, Guatemala
Ipala, Guatemala
Etna, Sicily (Italy)
Poas, Costa Rica
Cerro Chato, Costa Rica
Irazu, Costa Rica
El Chichon, Mexico
Eldfell, Iceland
Stromboli, Aeolian Islands (Italy)
Sierra Negra, Galapagos Islands (Ecuador)
Quilotoa, Ecuador
